PROTECT Benefit-Risk groupのサイトのVisualisationsのページはかなり包括的で興味深い。VisualizationsではなくVisualisationsというスペルはアメリカより英国に近いということだが、ヨーロッパ系であることがわかる。医療者と患者・介護者のコミュニケ―ションについても研究がかなり行われており、Evidence-based communicationという言葉も使われている。

PROTECTからは PrOACT-URL: Problem, Objectives, Alternatives, Consequences, Trade-offs, Uncertainty, Risk tolerance, and Linked decisions というBenefit-Risk assessmentのためのフレームワークが提言されている。

Shared Decision Makingについては米AHRQ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality医療研究・品質調査機構が2016年より医療者を対象にワークショップを開催している。
