  3. CER compares at least two alternative interventions, each with the potential to be \u201cbest practice.\u201d <\/li>
  4. CER employs methods and data sources appropriate for the decision of interest. <\/li>
  5. CER is conducted in settings that are similar to those in which the intervention will be used in practice. <\/li>
  6. CER measures outcomes \u2013 both benefits and harms \u2013 that are important to patients. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
